Kathmandu: The second seminar on Buddhist philosophy of Transcendental Wisdom (Pāramitā), organised by Nepal Buddhist Gelug Association, was held at Kopan Nunnery on 30 July 2023.
The seminar cum debate was presided over by Kyabje Jangtse Choeje Gosok Rinpoche and was attended by Representative Tsepri Lopan Tulku Ngawang Chokdup from the Tibetan Refugee Welfare Office in Kathmandu, along with Nepal-based Tibetan Parliamentarian Tashi Dhondup Serta; Tibetan Settlement Officer (TSO) Phurbu Tashi, Choejor (Boudha & Jorpati) Settlement Office; TSO Karma Soepa Thinley, Gyal-Phak (Kathmandu & Swayambhu) Settlement Office; TSO Tsering Dolma, Shawara (Solukhumbu, Walung and Rasuwa) Settlement Office; Chairperson Khenpo Geshe Thupten Jikdol, Buddhist Philosophy Promotion and Monastery Development Committee; General Secretary Kamal Bhandari, Nepal Buddhist Federation, as distinguished guests. It was also attended by representatives of all the Tibetan Buddhist schools and sects in Nepal, reverent Lamas and Tulkus, monastic tutors, and the seminar’s participants from ten Kathmandu-based Gelug (yellow hat school) monasteries.
