Deputy Secretary of Social and Resource Development, Thupten Rinzin, attends Farewell Reception for USAID India Mission Director Veena Reddy in New Delhi on 8 July 2024

New Delhi: Thupten Rinzin, the Deputy Secretary of Social and Resource Development (SARD) from the Department of Finance of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), attended a farewell reception in honour of Veena Reddy, USAID India Mission Director at the Kathika Cultural Centre in New Delhi on 8 July, 2024. 

The Deputy Secretary of SARD, Thupten Rinzin presented a letter from Sikyong Penpa Tsering, expressing deep appreciation for Ms. Reddy’s leadership and support.

The letter read: 

“On behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration, I express my heartfelt gratitude for your dynamic leadership and partnership with CTA during your tenure as USAID Mission Director. Your strong leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the resilience and sustainability of Tibetan communities in South Asia, particularly in India, which hosts the largest Tibetan diaspora community. Your leadership has set a robust foundation for our future partnership, which we are confident will continue to have a substantial impact. Thank you once again for your contributions towards the future of the Tibetan people. On behalf of the CTA, we wish you the best in all your future endeavours.”

The event provided a platform for him to engage with officials from USAID and representatives from other countries, including the European Union.
