Representative Thinley Chukki Meets with Head of Zurich’s Security Department, Discusses Organising His Holiness’ 90th Birthday

Zurich: Representative Thinley Chukki of the Tibet Bureau Geneva met with Honourable Mario Fehr, the head of the Department of Security, Government Council of Zurich, on 3 April 2025 to discuss various initiatives concerning the Tibet cause, including the preparations for His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s upcoming 90th birthday celebrations.

The Representative also presented the German edition of His Holiness’ recently published “Voice for the Voiceless” to Honourable Mario Fehr as a souvenir.

On the previous evening, Representative Thinley Chukki attended a book launch event organised by the Gaden Phodrang Foundation of the Dalai Lama, alongside 100 other attendees. The event featured the inauguration of “Dalai Lama,” a trilingual edition capturing both the public and private life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama through decades of photographs by Manuel Bauer, the founder of Lookat, a Swiss photographers’ agency. The book is capped off with essays contributed by His Holiness’ longtime interpreter, Thupten Jinpa.

During these events, Chinese Liaison Officer Sangay Kyab accompanied the Representative.
