
Geneva: Representative Thinlay Chukki of the Tibet Bureau in Geneva, invited by the Taiwanese Consulate, met with Taiwan’s Foreign Minister and other officials during an exhibition organised by the Taiwanese government.
On 17 May afternoon, Representative Thinlay Chukki and Sangay Kyab, the Chinese Liaison Officer for European Countries at Tibet Bureau in Geneva, attended the ‘Taiwan Smart Medical & Health Tech Expo’. The exhibition, held at the Hotel President Wilson in Geneva, brought together Taiwan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Taiwan’s Minister of Health and Welfare, and other representatives from Taiwan, members of the press, and the general public.
The expo highlighted Taiwan’s advancements in healthcare and technology, with research institutions from Taiwan showcasing various healthcare-related products and innovations.
Later that evening, a banquet was hosted for the dignitaries at 7:00 p.m. During the reception, Representative Thinlay Chukki met with Taiwan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lin Chia-lung. The two officials exchanged greetings and held discussion. Representative Thinlay Chukki also interacted and held discussions with the Taiwanese Representatives, as well as representatives from Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The tech expo and its accompanying engagements are part of Taiwan’s ongoing international campaign to garner global support and ongoing efforts to join the World Health Organisation (WHO).
