Gurupura: On 17 July 2024 the Rabgayling Tibetan Settlement community held a ceremony to express gratitude to President Joe Biden for enacting the ‘Resolve Tibet Act’. The event began with a morning prayer session and celebrated the enactment of this significant legislation. Migyur Dorjee, a member of the Tibetan Parliament in exile, attended as the chief guest, while Tenzing Dhadon, Rabgyaling Settlement officer, was honoured as the guest of honour.

Both dignitaries addressed the gathering, sharing their perspectives on the importance of the law for Tibet’s cause. They expressed their joy and sincere appreciation to President Joe Biden, members of the United States Congress, and all those who contributed to the passage of the Resolve Tibet Act on behalf of the Rabgayling Tibetans. The celebration also included a cultural dance performance by the community, featuring a traditional Tibetan dance that added a cultural dimension to the festivities. The active participation of the community underscored their collective gratitude and the cultural significance of the occasion.
