
Delhi: On 23 December 2025, Karma Yeshi, the Public Service Commissioner of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), addressed Tibetan college students in Delhi at the Tibetan Youth Hostel as part of his official outreach tour. The programme was attended by Tibetan college students around Delhi, along with administrative staff.
In his talk, Public Service Commissioner Karma Yeshi emphasised the importance of education, altruism, and a spirit of public service. He also spoke about the responsibilities of being Tibetan and highlighted opportunities to serve within the Central Tibetan Administration. Furthermore, he provided detailed explanations on application procedures, basic eligibility criteria, and available positions for entry into the civil service.
He further stated that, as Tibetan refugees, it is essential to prioritise education and emphasised to become responsible Tibetans who contribute not only to their own well-being but also to their families and the broader Tibetan cause. He stressed that Tibetan students must explain the Tibet cause to classmates of other nationalities to raise awareness, stating that it will benefit future advocacy and awareness campaigns for Tibet.
In particular, he emphasised that Tibetan youth must bear greater responsibility for Tibet cause while keeping in mind the benevolence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He concluded his address by responding to several questions during a question-and-answer session.
Afterwards, Samyeling Tibetan Settlement Officer Dorjee Tsering delivered a vote of thanks, marking the conclusion of the programme.
On 24 December 2025, Public Service Commissioner Karma Yeshi departed for Varanasi, accompanied by staff member Tenzin Jungney.
