
Mundgod: Psychosocial rehabilitation programmes were conducted across Mundgod, Bylakuppe, Hunsur, and Kollegal, focusing on promoting the mental and emotional well-being of patients and their families.
In Bylakuppe, participants engaged in interactive games such as Chinese whisper, ball-passing, and story-making, along with supervised swimming activities. In Kollegal, attendees enjoyed an outing, where they appreciated the scenic surroundings and recreational facilities like swings. In Mundgod, a drawing session and a Tibetan circle dance were organised. Meanwhile, in Hunsur, Phende Hospital focused on the emotional and psychosocial well-being of participants, featuring a talk on mental health from a spiritual perspective by Geshe Sangay, followed by recreational activities.
All events concluded with refreshments and meals. Participants expressed appreciation for the initiatives, with special thanks extended to its donor, the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (USDOS, SCA), for its support in making the initiative impactful and memorable.
