Poanta: On 16 and 17 October 2025, the Tibetan Settlement Officer of Paonta Cholsum, Gelek Jamyang, accompanied by its Accountant cum Secretary Tenzin Dawa, met with approximately 31 Indian dignitaries during the Indian festival of Diwali, including Indian Parliament member Shri Suresh Kumar Kashyap (MP Lok Sabha), Shri Sukhram Chaudhary MLA, Smt. Priyanka Verma IAS, Deputy Commissioner, and the Superintendent of Police Shri. Nishchint Singh Negi.

During these meetings, he presented sweets and extended greetings, successfully strengthening relationships with the local community.
