Taiwan: The European Economic Trade Office in Taipei (EETO) commemorated the 20th anniversary of the founding of EETO and Europe Day on Saturday, 6 May in Taipei.
The two-day celebrations were attended by representatives of 16 European countries and officials from Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Representative Kelsang Gyaltsen Bawa accompanied by the Secretary of the office also attended the event at the invitation of Filip Grzegorzewski, President of EETO.
The president of EETO reiterated the close ties between Taiwan and Europe in their views of democratic values and human rights. While Foreign Minister Joseph Wu recounted the recent interaction with a group of European delegates in Taiwan who collectively praised the stability across the Taiwan Strait. They also assured their complete support of Taiwan.
The festival promoted exhibitions of different cultures of European countries and their cuisines.
