
Dharamshala: To observe the Year of Compassion, the Nyingtopling Special Needs Institution, led by former Member of Parliament Ngawang Lhamo, organised a free distribution of basic necessities for underprivileged local residents living around Norbulingka Institute.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Kunchok Migmar, Tibetan Settlement Officer (TSO) of Dharamshala, and the recently elected ward councillor of the Municipal Corporation Dharamshala.
The program was organised in line with the institution’s mission of promoting mutual support and helping those in need within the community. During the event, TSO Kunchok Migmar expressed his gratitude to Ngawang Lhamo for the institution’s remarkable achievements in caring for people with special needs. He also appreciated her dedication to supporting needy families and thanked all the staff members and volunteers for their valuable contributions to the institution’s success.
TSO Kunchok Migmar further requested the ward councillor to extend support in addressing the institution’s basic needs and challenges. The ward councillor assured the gathering that every possible assistance would be provided through the Municipal Corporation Dharamshala to support the institution and its humanitarian efforts.
The event reflected the spirit of compassion, community service, and collective responsibility, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to serving both people with special needs and underprivileged members of society.
