Tenzingang, Arunachal Pradesh: Under the coordination of Local Tibetan Election Commissioner Rapten Tsering, who is also the Settlement Officer of Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement, the swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected Vice Chairman of the 12th Local Tibetan Assembly was held on 15 May 2026.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman and members of the 12th Local Tibetan Assembly of Tenzingang, along with staff members of the Tibetan Settlement Office.

The new Vice Chairman, Phuntsok Tsering, took the oath of office virtually, administered by the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner for Northern Region, Choekyi.

Following the ceremony, the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner gave an overview of the relevant provisions of the Charter of Tibetans in Exile, as well as election rules and regulations.
