Bandhara: The 12th Local Tibetan Assembly of Norgyeling Tibetan Settlement in Bandhara was sworn in during a virtual ceremony held on 2 April 2026.

The Tibetan Local Justice Commissioner for the Southern Region, Phuntsok Palden, administered the oath to newly elected Chairman Lobsang Dhonyoe and Vice Chairman Choe Gyaltsen. Following the oath-taking ceremony, he extended his congratulations to the new leadership.

Following the ceremony, the Local Justice Commissioner Phuntsok Palden provided an introduction to the certain sections of the Charter of Tibetans in Exile and election regulations. He urged them to fulfil their duties in accordance with the oath of office they had taken, perform their duties with unwavering sincerity, justice, and to the best of their abilities while abiding by the Charter of Tibetans in Exile.
