
Gondia: On Thursday, 28 May 2026, the newly appointed Additional Collector of Gondia District, Shri Abhijit Bhalchandra Ghorpade, was formally received by a delegation of local Tibetan officials.
The delegation, which included Settlement Officer Tenzin Tsangpa, Local Assembly Officer Lobsang Donnyod, and the office secretary, paid a courtesy call on the Additional Collector to offer their congratulations on his new appointment.
During the meeting, the officials provided Shri Ghorpade with a brief overview of the Bhandara Tibetan Settlement and brought several pressing issues faced by the community to his attention.
As a token of their appreciation and respect, the delegation presented the Additional Collector with a traditional Tibetan Thangka painting of the Buddha and a copy of the book ‘The Voice for the Vioceless’, authored by His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama.
On 29 May 2026, Tibetan Settlement Officer Tenzin Tsangpa, accompanied by Office Secretary Migmar Choedon, met with Shri Yogesh Kumar (IPS), Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Nagpur, and extended greetings to him.
During the meeting, they presented a copy of Voice for the Voiceless: Over Seven Decades of Struggle with China for My Land and My People, authored by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, along with a motivational quote poster of His Holiness’s Four Commitments.
