New Delhi: New Delhi based India Tibet Coordination Office organised a meeting of National and Regional Conveners of Core Group for Tibetan Cause at Tibetan Community Hall, Manju Ka Tilla, Delhi on Friday,14 September 2018.
The meeting commenced by observing a minute of silence to pay homage to Former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji followed by introductory remarks by Mr. Karma Dhargyal, Coordinator, India Tibet Coordination Office.
12 members of Core Group for Tibetan Cause attended the meeting which was chaired by Shri Rinchen Khando Khrimey, National Convener, Core Group for Tibetan Cause. In his welcome address, the Chairman stated that they have gathered here to propose a guideline and action plan for Tibetan struggle for freedom in the coming days. The Core Group and its constituent Tibet Support Groups organisation in India must keep alive the Tibet issue by giving special focus on Indian youth by conducting programs and events in various schools, colleges and universities of India.
“Keeping in mind the importance of India Tibet relations, we as a TSG must strengthen and deliberate more effectively in carrying out Tibetan movement in finding a peaceful solution to the just cause of Tibet” said the chairman.
Mr. Ngodup Dongchung, Representative, Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi was invited as a Special Guest to give a briefing on current issues of Tibet. He thanked the Core Group members for their unwavering support to the Tibet cause and informed the members on current situation inside Tibet under the Chinese rule. He even spoke on His Holiness the Dalai Lama commitment to reviving awareness of the value of ancient Indian Knowledge among young Indians today.
The members discussed on strengthening and revitalising the Tibet Support Groups movement in India.
Finally, the meeting concluded with vote of thanks.
