
Mandi, October 16, 2025: The Mandi Tibetan Settlement Office formally presented a disaster relief contribution of ₹1,01,000 (Rupees One Lakh One Thousand) to the Mandi District Administration. This donation is intended to support those affected by the devastating natural disasters that have impacted the region since June 2025.
The contribution represents a joint charitable effort by the three monasteries in Rewalsar and the wider Tibetan community under the Mandi Tibetan Settlement Office’s jurisdiction.
The cheque was officially handed over to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mandi, Apoorv Devgan, IAS, by the Tibetan Settlement Officer, Jamyang Dolma, who was joined by Dinesh Kumar, General Secretary of the Indo-Tibetan Friendship Association (ITFA), Mandi, and Lhamo Choedon, Office Secretary. The Deputy Commissioner expressed his gratitude for the support extended to the disaster victims.
During the visit, the Tibetan Settlement Officer also took the opportunity to extend her sincere Diwali greetings to the Deputy Commissioner and, through him, to all the residents of the Mandi district.
