Dharamshala: In November, the then Secretary Phuntsok Palden of the Local Justice Commission of Southern region and lawyer Choekyi were appointed as Local Justice Commissioners of Southern and Northern regions, respectively.

This morning, the duo took their oath of office before Circuit Justice Commissioner Lhadruk and attended by Dekyiling Settlement Officer, dignitaries and representatives of civil society groups and monasteries.

The Circuit Justice Commissioner then introduced the two new Local Justice Commissioners and briefly introduced the local justice commission. After the swearing-in ceremony, the new Local Justice Commissioners officially took charge.
