Ladakh: Tashi Dhondup, Chief Representative Officer (CRO) of Sonamling Tibetan Settlement, Ladakh, paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Shri Kavinder Gupta, Union Territory of Ladakh, on 5 August 2025. The visit was to extend heartfelt congratulations on his recent appointment as the new Lieutenant Governor of UT Ladakh.
During the meeting, CRO Tashi Dhondup presented a token of gratitude — a memento of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama — along with a newly published book titled “Voice for the Voiceless.”
He offered a brief introduction to the background of the Sonamling Tibetan Settlement, expressed deep appreciation to the Government of India, especially the people of Ladakh and the UT administration, for their continued support to the Tibetan community.
Additionally, CRO Tashi Dhondup shared with the Lieutenant Governor that the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) has designated this year as the Year of Compassion, reflecting the core values upheld by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
