
Sydney: On 1 August 2025, Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche arrived in Sydney as part of his tour of Australia and New Zealand. Upon his arrival at Sydney Airport, Rinpoche was warmly received by Ngawa Choezin, the President of the Sydney Tibetan Community, along with other community members and representatives from Dharma centres in the area.
At the request of the Sydney Tibetan community, Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche bestowed the Buddha Amitayus Long-life Initiation at Mackellar School in Dee Why on 2 August 2025. Thousands of Tibetans and Tibetan Buddhist followers gathered to receive this empowerment where Rinpoche also emphasised the importance of preserving Tibet’s rich cultural heritage and fostering unity among the Tibetan community.
Representative Karma Singey attended the empowerment prayer session and also offered Mendrel Tensum to Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche.
Rinpoche is scheduled to visit Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne in Australia, followed by Christchurch, Dunedin, and Nelson in New Zealand.
