Kalon Tripa to Visit Dalhousie
Dharamshala 24 June 2005: Kalon Tripa Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche will leave for Dalhousie tomorrow morning.
On 26 June at 10 am, Kalon Tripa will flag off the North Zone Sarvodaya Vichar Prachar Yatra, a two and half month-long yatra starting from Dalhousie, organised by Shri Yashpal Mittal, incharge of Prashthan Ashram at Pathankot, to propagate the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave. The yatra, covering the states of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana, will conclude on 11 September at Pathankot on the birthday of Acharya Vinoba ji.
Later at 12:30 pm on the same day, Kalon Tripa will meet the members of the local chapter of the Indo-Tibet Friendship Society at Dalhousie Public School, followed by a meeting at 4:30 pm with the members of the Local Tibetan Assembly.
On 27 June, Kalon Tripa will meet the members of the local chapter of the Rangden Tsokchung, followed by a speech at 11:30 am to the students of the Central School for Tibetans and a meeting with the board of directors of the Phuntsokling Tibetan Handicraft Centre at 4 pm.
Kalon Tripa will address the Tibetan people at Dalhousie on 28 June at 9 am, followed by visits to the residents of the local Tibetans. Kalon Tripa will return to Dharamshala in the evening on the same day.
