Kollegal: Kalon (Minister) Norzin Dolma of the Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration, attended the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Kollegal Dhondenling Sambhota Tibetan School as the chief guest on 18 February 2024. Kalon is a former student of the school and a local resident of Kollegal Dhondenling Tibetan settlement.

As the Chief Guest, Minister Norzin Dolma expressed her appreciation and admiration for the outstanding contributions of former principals, teachers and staff members who provided quality education to students for over 50 years. The jubilant atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and pride as the students, staff, and guests celebrated the occasion with joy and gratitude.

The day-long event featured career exhibitions, sports and Tibetan cultural performances by former and current students.

Gelek Jungney, Kollegal Tibetan Settlement Officer; Ngawang Phelgyel, former Chief Justice Commissioner of Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission (CTA); representatives of monasteries; heads of local Tibetan Associations and NGOs; former STS principals, teachers, and students also attended the golden jubilee celebration of Sambhota Tibetan School.

This celebratory event was made possible due to the initiatives and fundraising efforts of former Kollegal Tibetans including the hard work and leadership of the Tibetan Settlement Office, local Tibetan Associations and NGOs, Sambhota Tibetan School Kollegal, as well as Dhondenling Tibetan public.
