Belgaum, Karnataka: Kalon (Minister) Dolma Gyari of the Department of Security (CTA), paid a courtesy call on Dr. G. Parameshwara, Hon’ble Minister for the Department of Home, Government of Karnataka.
The courtesy meeting was conceived by Kalon Dolma Gyari on 12 December when His Holiness the Dalai Lama was travelling to Doeguling Tibetan Settlement in Mundgod, and was subsequently held in Belgaum on 19 December 2025, coinciding with the final day of the Winter Session of the Karnataka State Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly.
During the meeting, the Security Kalon expressed sincere gratitude to the Government of Karnataka for its unwavering and continued support toward the sustainability of Tibetan refugees’ livelihoods, in line with the 2014 Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy of the Government of India. On this occasion, Kalon Dolma Gyari also extended an invitation to Dr. Parameshwara to visit Mundgod and Dharamshala, with the aim of fostering deeper mutual connections and providing an opportunity for Tibetans in exile to showcase their hospitality, Buddhist culture, and way of life.

Dr. Parameshwara acknowledged the gesture and reaffirmed the Government of Karnataka’s commitment to extending all possible support to Tibetan refugees.
