Dharamshala: The Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration, on 22 June 2026 welcomed Mike Cramer, Political Officer, and Radharani Thakuria, Project Management Specialist, from the U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. Health Kalon Pema Tso extended a warm welcome to the delegation during the meeting, which was attended by the Secretary, and senior officials of the Department.

The discussions focused on the progress of the Tibetan Economic, Social, and Cultural (TESC) Resilience Programme, funded by the U.S. Department of State, along with broader strategic health priorities and emerging challenges. The Department expressed sincere gratitude to the U.S. Department of State for its continued partnership and generous support in strengthening healthcare services for the Tibetan refugee community.

Earlier on 19 June, Health Kalon Pema Tso attended the finale of the GHOTON Basketball Tournament 2026, hosted by SFT India, as Chief Guest. She congratulated the finalist teams and appreciated the spirit of participation, noting its role in building experience, confidence, and future success. She also conveyed best wishes for a successful and memorable tournament, which saw participation from various Tibetan NGOs and community representatives.
