Dharamsala: Health Information System (HIS) section of Department of Health, CTA held a virtual training programme for the Executive Secretaries, Nurses and Community Health Workers from 33 settlements in India and 7 settlements from Nepal. It was held in batches from the 17th August to 23rd August 2021.
The purpose of the workshop was to review their electronic health data for OpenMRS users in 6 facilities (Bir, Dekyiling, Hunsur, Kollegal, Bylakupe and Mundgod) and DHIS2 users for both Android and Desktop users for the rest of the facilities in India.
The Additional Secretary of the Department, Mr. Jampa Phuntsok addressed the attendees regarding the significance of the training, which was conducted virtually by the Health Information System Programme (HISP) India. The department has collaborated with HISP India to implement an Integrated Health Information System, namely the Open MRS platform (hospital EMR), which is currently operational at six facilities: Bir, Dekyiling in the north, Hunsur, Bylakuppe, Kollegal, and Mundgod in the south, and the DHIS2 (District Health Information System) platform for DoHe Primary Health care centers and Clinics.
