Gangtok, Sikkim: Following the successful knee surgery of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, the Gangtok Ghoton Committee and local Tibetan community organised a prayer service on 10 June 2026 at Guru Lhakhang Monastery to pray for his swift recovery and continued good health.
Gangtok, Sikkim: The Gangtok Ghoton Committee, in collaboration with the local Tibetan community, organised a prayer service on 10 June 2026 at Guru Lhakhang Monastery for the swift recovery of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama following successful knee surgery at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.
The prayer service was held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and attended by members of the Gangtok Ghoton Committee, local Tibetan community members, and resident monks of the monastery.
During the gathering, participants collectively recited prayers and offered aspirations for the long life, good health, and speedy recovery of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
