
Dharamshala: The Pokhara-based Shree Gaden Dhargay Ling Monastery organised a Namgyal Tongchod (a thousand-offering ritual to Namgyalma, the Buddhist Goddess of Longevity) at the Thekchen Chöling Tsuglagkhang in Dharamshala on 16 October 2025, dedicated to the well-being and long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
The ceremony was presided over by the 11th Kirti Rinpoche, Lobsang Tenzin Jigme Yeshe Gyamtso Rinpoche, and attended by Secretary Dhondul Dorjee from the Department of Religion and Culture, who was present at the invitation of the organising monastery.
Joining Kirti Rinpoche in the ceremony were Tulku Lobsang Jamyang of Shree Gaden Dhargay Ling Monastery, Sangbhum Rinpoche of Drepung Loseling Monastery, Keutsang Rinpoche, as well as the Abbot and Chant Master of Namgyal Monastery, and the Abbot of Gyuto Tantric Monastery, all of whom graced the occasion with their presence.
Around 150 monks from Shree Gaden Dhargay Ling Monastery, Gyuto Tantric Monastery, Namgyal Monastery, and Nechung Monastery participated in the prayer offerings.
