Dharamshala: The Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), organised annual interactive luncheon for Tibetan and local Indian journalists from various media houses at the hotel Royal Castle in Dharamshala earlier today.
Tenzin Paljor, the Press Officer of the Central Tibetan Administration, delivered a welcome address during the luncheon and extended his heartfelt appreciation to all the attendees for their presence on behalf of the department.
Following that, Secretary Karma Choeying of the Department of Information and International Relations beseeched representatives of the local Indian news outlets to continue their support in giving coverage to the issues concerning situations inside Tibet, along with official ceremonies of Central Tibetan Administration, in order to widen the general Indian people’s awareness on Tibetan cause.
The luncheon was attended by DIIR Secretary Karma Choeying, CTA’s Spokesperson Tenzin Lekshay, and Bureau Chief Namgyal Tsewang. Around 60 journalists from different media houses, namely Aapka Faisla, Amar Ujala, ANI, Anant Gyan TV, Chamba Express, Dainik Savera Times, Dainik Tribune, Divya Himachal, ETV Bharat, Himachal Abhi Abhi, Him Express TV, India News, Janta TV, Live Times TV, News 18, Phayul, Pahadi Hulchal, PTI TV, Radio Free Asia, Samachar First, Siddhivinayak Times, The Tribune, Tibet News Bureau, Tibet Times, Voice of America, Voice of Tibet, and Yugmarg PTC also attended the event.
Every year, the Department of Information and International Relations organises an ‘Annual Interactive Lunch Meeting’ to foster interaction and collaboration between media personnel from Tibetan and local Indian news organisations.
