
Dharamshala Tibetan Settlement Officer Meets Hon’ble Revenue Minister to Address Community Land Issues.
Dharamshala: Earlier this morning, the Tibetan Settlement Officer of Dharamshala, Kunchok Migmar, was invited by the Hon’ble Revenue Minister of Himachal Pradesh at the Circuit House. During the meeting, the Tibetan Settlement Officer presented a Tibetan ceremonial scarf to the Hon’ble Minister Shri Jagat Singh Negi and raised several issues faced by the Tibetan community in Himachal Pradesh, particularly in Dharamshala.
The Hon’ble Minister mentioned that the land lease for Sanjoli in Shimla has already been presented to the Cabinet, and the land issue at Tonglen School is currently being processed. The Tibetan Settlement Officer expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Minister and the Cabinet for their attention to these matters.
Specifically, the Tibetan Settlement Officer raised the long-pending issue of 218 households on TIPA Road. He submitted an application, along with a copy of a letter from the Home Department of the Government of India and the latest inspection report from the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). The Hon’ble Minister reviewed all the details, added his remarks on the application, and handed it over to his PA for follow-up.
Subsequently, the Tibetan Settlement Officer requested the Hon’ble Minister to continue his support regarding the land issue, and the Minister agreed to facilitate the resolution of the pending land transfer process in Shimla.
