Deputy Secretary Lhakpa Tsering Assumes Charge as the New Chief Representative Officer of Shimla

Shimla: On 23 and 24 April 2025, the Chief Representative Office of Shimla held a handing-over ceremony between its outgoing Chief Representative Officer (CRO) Tsewang Phuntsok and incoming CRO Lhakpa Tsering in the presence of Joint Secretary Tenzin Khenrab as official witness from the Department of Home, CTA.

The transfer of office inventories and official documents under the ownership of the Shimla Chief Representative Office between the two CROs took place on 23 April, followed by a briefing for the new CRO on follow-up work procedures.

On the next day, the formal exchange of official seat was held during a brief ceremony attended by prominent Tibetan community leaders of Shimla. The gathering was addressed by the two CROs as well as the official witness.
