Dharamshala: The Department of Information and International Relations commenced a three-day advocacy and communication training program which is being participated by 21 staff of Tibet Advocacy Section, Media Section, Tibet Museum, Tibet Policy Institute, Tibetan Parliamentary Secretariat and Tibetan civil societies: Tibetan Women Association, Tibetan Center for Conflict Resolution, Active Non-violence Education Center, Students for a Free Tibet, Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy and International Tibet Network.
Speaking at the formal inaugural, Secretary Karma Choeying introduced the trainers and spoke on the objective as well as benefits of the training.
Additional Secretary Tenzin Lekshey advises participants to actively engage in the workshop and grasp knowledge from it.
The training funded by USAID through NDI is conducted by Vishal Arora and Harshita Rathore from Newsreel Asia, a start-up OTT news media.
