Dharamshala: With the arrival of Honourable Chief Minister Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukku in Dharamshala for the winter legislative assembly session of Himachal Pradesh, a delegation from the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) led by the Secretary Palden Dhondup of the Home Department had a courtesy meeting with the honourable Chief Minister and presented a cheque of INR 11,53,807.28 as a donation towards the State Government’s ongoing efforts in restoring the damages caused by the heavy monsoon rains which has left the picturesque State of Himachal Pradesh in ruins.
Secretary Palden Dhondup specified that the donation was contributed voluntarily from the staff of Central Tibetan Administration as a gesture of solidarity with the State and the people of Himachal Pradesh during the time of such exigence in the region that has witnessed extensive destruction of roads, bridges, and houses, as well as the disruption of essential services such as electricity, water, and telecommunications.
At the same time, he also pleaded with the honourable Chief Minister for his Administration’s continued assistance towards the Central Tibetan Administration as well as the Tibetan communities located across the State. Secretary Palden Dhondup was accompanied by the Additional Secretary of the Home Department, Tenzin Norbu; Dharamshala Tibetan Settlement Officer, Kunchok Migmar; and CTRC’s consultant Ar. Amardeep.
