Gepheling Tibetan Settlement holds a gratitude event for the US Government and the US President on 14 July 2024

Dehradun: On 14 July 2024, the Tibetan community gathered at Norling ground, Dekyiling Tibetan Settlement, to express deep gratitude to the USA and President Joe Biden for supporting the Resolve Tibet Act 2024. The event was an evening filled with celebration and appreciation.

Cho-kha-Sum organized the gathering, which included key figures such as the Chairman of the Local Tibetan Assembly, the Tibetan Settlement Officer, representatives of the Tibetan Freedom Movement, Cheemi Gyapon, and others.

TSO Mr. Dhundup Gyalpo addressed the public, welcoming the new law on the Sino-Tibet dispute and highlighting its historic significance. He expressed gratitude to the United States for rekindling hope for the Tibetan freedom movement and conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Tibetan community in Dehradun.

On 16 July, the Gepheling Tibetan settlement was also celebrated, beginning at 9:00 am with a gathering where sweet rice and butter tea were served. The day continued with cultural performances and a communal lunch.
