Dharamshala: The Department of Home, CTA, successfully concluded the training for enumerators on household listing survey at Paonta Cholsum Settlement on 23 February 2024.
Throughout the first two days, trainers delivered comprehensive explanations of the survey using PowerPoint presentations and introduced participants to household listing tools.
On the final day, trainers Saikat and Kshijit conducted a mock practice session to provide participants with hands-on experience of the field survey. Under the supervision of Dr. Lobsang and the trainers, all participants gained practical insights into the survey methodology and had the opportunity to address anticipated challenges through the mock practice.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Lobsang urged enumerators to actively engage the public and maximise participation during the field survey. Additionally, he requested the settlement representatives to assist the enumerators in contacting the public or students in scattered areas by creating a network or points of contact with organisations and associations.
The training participants included enumerators and settlement office representatives from eight different settlements, namely Delhi, Bonshi, Dehradun, Kamrao, Puruwala, Sataun, Herbertpur, and Paonta Cholsum.
