Tenzingang: Northeast Tibetan Settlement Officers from four Tibetan Settlements in Arunachal Pradesh conducted a courtesy visit to Shri Pema Khandu, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh at the State Secretariat in Itanagar on 30 November 2024.
The delegation comprised Tenzin Tsangpa, TSO of Miao Choephelling, Kunga Jigmey, TSO of Tezu Dhargyeling, Rapten Tsering, TSO of Tenzingang and Dechen Wangpo, TSO of Tuting had met Shri Pema Khandu, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. They were accompanied by representatives of the Tibet Support Group of Arunachal Pradesh (TSGAP) including its President Shri Tarh Tarak and General Secretary Shri Nima Senge was also present during the meeting with the Hon’ble Chief Minister.
Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement officer Rapten Tsering on behalf of Central Tibetan Administration and representing four Tibetan Settlements conveyed heartfelt congratulations for the overwhelming victory in the state assembly election earlier this year.t
The delegation also expressed gratitude for the Tenshug (long-life prayer offering) ceremony held on 7 September 2024 by the peace-loving Monpa community under the leadership of Shri Pema Khandu. The ceremony honoured His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, coinciding with the first celebration of his 90th birth anniversary in Dharamshala- a memorable and inspiring event for Buddhist communities worldwide.
Tibetan Settlement Officers submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Shri Pema Khandu addressing the grievances of Settlements supported by Shri Tarh Tarak, President of Tibet Support Group of Arunachal Pradesh and General Secretary Shri Nima Senge. Hon’ble Chief Minister assured us and agreed to extend the necessary support.
Tibetan Settlement Officers jointly presented a memento to Shri Pema Khandu, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh as a memory of love and respect from Tibetan communities of Arunachal Pradesh.
