
Bhandara, Maharashtra: Chief Election Commissioner Lobsang Yeshi, accompanied by Additional Secretary Tenzin Norbu, arrived in Nagpur on 29 October 2025 as part of the Central Election Commission’s ongoing outreach programme aimed at raising public awareness about the forthcoming Tibetan general election.
During his public address on 30 October at the Norgyeling Tibetan Settlement in Bhandara, the Chief Election Commissioner spoke about the 2025–26 Sikyong and 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile elections. He emphasised the importance of upholding the principles of free, fair, and transparent elections, and encouraged the public to participate actively and responsibly in the upcoming electoral process.
On 31 October, the delegation returned to Nagpur, where they addressed around 75 Tibetan seasonal sweater sellers from Norgyeling Settlement, briefing them on the upcoming elections before departing for Delhi.
