Dharamshala: The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) convened a special prayer service at Sikyong Hall at 3:00 PM today, held to honour the victims and express solidarity with their families following the recent tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 people and injured 17 people.
At the prayer ceremony, Cabinet Secretary Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident, extending heartfelt prayers to the victims and their families. On behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration and Tibetan community, he conveyed profound sadness at the painful news and urged everyone to stand in solidarity and offer prayers for the victims. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the people and Government of India during this difficult time,” he said.
The prayer service was attended by Chief Justice Commissioner Yeshi Wangmo; Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel; Deputy Speaker Dolma Tsering Teykhang; Justice Commissioners Dawa Phunkyi and Labrang Phagpa Tsering; Election Commissioner Lobsang Yeshi; Public Service Commissioner Karma Yeshi; standing committee members of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile; along with secretaries and civil servants of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).
Sikyong Penpa Tsering also shared a message of condolence and solidarity on X (formerly Twitter), expressing the Tibetan community’s support during this difficult time.
