Guwahati: The 12th Tawang Tirth Yatra 2023 inaugural ceremony was successfully organised by Assam Prant, Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch (BTSM) at PWD Convention Hall; Dispur on 24 November 2023. It was flagged off from Guwahati, Assam on 25 November 2023 under the blessing and guidance of Maaniya Shri Indresh Kumar, Senior RSS Pracharak and Patron, BTSM. The Yatris with such enthusiasm and dedication started off a week-long Yatra from 25 to 30 November 2023.
During the inaugural, Shri Rabindra Raju, Sanghatan Mantri, BJP Assam, Shri Mrigen Sarania, Mayor GMC Guwahati, Shri Hemanga Thakuria, MLA Pralashbari, Shri Er. Kailash Sharma, President BTSM Assam Prant, Shri Pankaj Goyal, National General Secretary BTSM, Shri Rajen Gohain, Former MP Nagaon, Shri Rinchen Khando Khrimey (Former MP and Minister, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and National Convener, CGTC-I) and, Tenzin Samten, Tibetan Settlement Officer, Shillong-Meghalaya were warmly welcomed and presided over the ceremony.
The 12th Tawang Tirth Yatris around 250 people arrived from different states of the country starts from Guwahati, Assam en route to Balemu (popularly known as Tin Ali as three geographical boundaries of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and neighbouring country Bhutan meets) via Mongaldai and Rowta. The Yatris will reach Tawang after passing through Bomdila, Dirang, Sela Pass, Jawantgarh via Balemu.
On reaching Tawang, the yatris will pay a visit to the famous Tawang Monastery and get blessing from there for their onward journey. The next day, they will visit the Indo-Tibetan border at Bumla. They offered Shradha Jali (tribute) and Naman (bow downed) to the Brave Indian Army who sacrificed their life to protect the Nation. They will do Dharti Poojan, worshiping the earth for the territorial integrity of Bharat Maa. On its return journey, the yatris will visit Sangesar Tso popularly known as Madhuri Lake and Jang Water Falls; and finally concluding the Yatra back at Guwahati, Assam.
The yatris will reach Tezpur on 30 November 2023 and will receive by Shri Prithviraj Rabha, Honourable MLA Tezpur; Shri Arup Barthakur Adviser, BTSM Assam and Seema mech Incharge BTSM Tezpur. The 12th Tawang Trith Yatra closing ceremony will be held in Tezpur under the leadership of Shri Pankaj Goyal, National General Secretary of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch. As expressed and statement by Shri Pankaj he said “the 12th Tawang Trith Yatra will conclude with sincere pledge to serve and support the Tibet’s issue and Kailash Mansorovar Ki Mukti and Bharat Ki Suraksha”. Also, shall send message to China and the world on strongly condemning the illegal occupation of Tibet by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Panchsheel agreement and appealing world to shed light on ongoing injustice happening in Tibet and to Tibetan People. Slogans like China haye-haye meaning showing disagreement Go Back China was echoed in Bhumla border.
