Dehradun: Deputy Secretary Pema Youdon, head of the North Zone, and chief accountant Tenzin Palkyi from the Department of Health (CTA) paid a three-day monitoring visit to settlements, Tibetan health care centres and schools located in Dekyiling and Herbertpur from 29 to 31 January 2024.
This visit covered several Tibetan settlements in Dehradun, including Tsering Dhondenling, Gephelling, TWC Rajpur, Doegu Yulgyelling, Khera Camp and Balluwala. The team further visited Ngoenga school, Tibetan Private Industrial Training Institute Selaqui (ITI), the health care centres in Dekyiling and clinics in Lakhanwala and Khera Camp.
This official visit was intended to assess the current and upcoming projects of FY 2024–2025 under Ngoenga School and settlements under Dekyiling and Herbertpur, as well as to examine the ground realities of some of the completed WASH projects.
The United States Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) supported the visit through the Tibet Fund.
