Taipei, Taiwan: The Rotary Club of Taipei Yuan Man today invited Rep. Dawa Tsering to introduce the history and culture of Tibet to their members.
In a luncheon meeting hosted by the Rotary International District 3480 here at the banquet hall of the Imperial Hotel, Rep. Dawa Tsering gave a 30-minute long talk which also highlighted the historical relations between Tibet and China.
He also spoke a great deal about the history and situation of Tibetans in exile.
Drawing from his own personal experiences, he explained the current challenges faced by the Tibetans both in and outside Tibet.
His talk was followed by about half an hour-long Q&A in which he was asked about the issue of His Holiness the Dalai Lama as well as others related with current situation of Tibetan Buddhism.
In her concluding speech, Ms. P. Clio, the head of the Rotary Club of Taipei Yuan Man, thanked him profusely for his talk.
The event also featured various charity works undertaken by the Rotary club.
