Dharamshala: Besides the United Kingdom, a series of documentary films and photographs taken in Tibet are being showcased across Indonesia to commemorate 50 years of exile of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan refugees. The photo exhibition, tilted “Heaven In Exile”, jointly organised by the Jakarta-based Roof the World Foundation, a Tibet Support Group Galeri and Foto Jurnalistik Antara, Indonesia’s premier news agency’s gallery, has begun today, 6 March.The photographs were taken by Mr. Enrico Soekarno, Mr. Jay Subyakto, Mr. Krish Suharnoko and Mr. Yori Antar during their visits to Tibet, Dharamsala and Ladakh in India and Nepal.During the exhibition, 8 Tibetan documentary films will be shown as part of the Tibet Film Festival. Films will include Leaving Fear Behind by Dhondup Wangchen & Gyaljong Tsetrin, Shadow Circus, A Stranger In My Native Land, Dreaming Lhasa, The Reincarnation Of Khensur Rinpoche by Ritu Sarin & Tenzing Sonam, as well as classics such as Wheel Of Time by Werner Herzog and the award winning documentary Cry Of The Snow Lion by Tom Piozet.The exhibition will go on till 21 March.–Based on report filed by Office of Tibet, AustraliaRelated reports:“Tibet Film Festival 2009” to Kick-off on 4 March in LondonJoanna Lumley launches Tibet Film Festival in UK
