
FRANKFURT, Germany: Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay visited Frankfurt city in Germany on 25 November following his visit to New York City, US.
At Frankfurt, Sikyong attended a round table conference organised by the Schwarz-Schilling Foundation, a non-profit organisation based in Germany. Mr Sonam Norbu Dagpo, Secretary of Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) and Mr Ngodup Dorjee, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama based in Geneva, Switzerland, accompanied Sikyong during the meeting.
Sikyong also addressed the local Tibetan public in Frankfurt on 25 November. In his address, Sikyong spoke about the need to retain Tibetan identity and culture in exile.
He further extolled the importance of education for its role in the growth of a community and urged the Tibetan families to prioritise their children’s education, encouraging them to join administrative services of their adopted countries.
Sikyong also talked about his five-fifty strategy to resolve the Tibet issue. He said that alleviating the sufferings of the Tibetan people inside Tibet remains his main priority as political leader of the Tibetan people.
Sikyong also paid a visit to Tibet House based in Frankfurt. He had a brief meeting with the staff and visitors there.
