
DHARAMSHALA: The Public Service Commission of Central Tibetan Administration is organising a ten-day management workshop for the staff of various Tibetan settlement offices from 7 November 2016. The workshop is being organised at the Tibetan Reception Centre, Dharamshala.
A total of 26 staff from different Tibetan settlement offices are participating in the workshop.
The chief guest of the inaugural ceremony was Kalon Karma Yeshi, Department of Finance. Other guests include Mr Sonam Choephel Shosur, Chairman of Public Service Commission, Mr Jigme Tsering, acting Secretary of Public Service Commission and Mrs Tsering Lhamo, Deputy Secretary of Public Service Commission.
In his inaugural speech, Kalon Karma Yeshi spoke to participants about the important role of the staff working in Tibetan settlement offices. “As a public servant, one must shoulder the responsibilities with earnest dedication and conviction. The staff working in our Tibetan settlement offices have a direct role in addressing the grievances and improving the welfare of Tibetan people,” he said, encouraging the participant to make optimum use of the ten-day workshop.
The Chairman Mr Sonam Choephel Shosur delivered the introductory remarks and explained aims and objectives of the workshop.
Mr Jigme Tsering, Acting Secretary of Public Service Commission introduced the resource persons for the ten-day workshop.
Mrs Tsering Lhamo, Deputy Secretary of Public Service Commission delivered vote of thanks.
The workshop is being funded by USAID.
