MOSCOW: Men tsee khang is touring three cities in the Russian Federation in conjunction with the 100 anniversary since its establishment. The tour started in Moscow, the capital city of Russia on 21 October with a series of Lectures, “Introduction to Tibetan Medicine”, “Role of Tibetan Medicine in the West”,“Cancer treatment in Tibetan Medical system”presented by Dr Tsetan Migyur and “Introduction to Tibetan Astrology” presented by Tsering Choezom.
Honorary representative Telo Tulku Rinpoche said during the opening ceremony, “It is the first official tour of Mentseekhang to Russia and the interest in Tibetan medical system and treatment is growing rapidly in Russia and to a certain extent the word “Tibet” or “Tibetan Medicine” has become an International brand where many are capitalising. There are many Tibetan Doctors in Russia as well as in other countries who have graduated from Men tsee khang and we welcome the tour group to Russian where Russia and Tibet share an extraordinary relationship for many centuries. We believe the bond will continue to strive and strengthen in the centuries yet to come in the field of Culture, religion and science.”
The team visited city of Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation from 28 October to 1 November, which was hosted by the Mayor of Kazan. Series of public awareness talk on “Diet and Healthy Lifestyle” was organised along side an exhibition on Medical and Astrological charts and the products of Men tsee khang. Consultations were given to public, who are interested for medical and astrological calculations.
The team is still on tour in Krasnoyarsk from 4 – 7 October. Lecture on the 3 “Nyepas”, Medical and Astrological consultations are organised for the public as well as exhibition of products.
The tour was organised and co-hosted by the Moscow based Office of Tibet (Tibetan Culture & Information Center) and local supporters in each city. The tour is still going on with many registered for consultations of Tibetan Medicine.
