Salzburg, Austria, 22 May: His Holiness the Dalai Lama will make one and half days visit to Udine, Italy this morning. During the visit His Holiness will address three public events.
 
This morning His Holiness will speak on The role of religions in promoting justice, peace, and the protection of the environment at an inter-religious dialogue. The Mayor of Udine will present to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Key to Udine city at the end of the talk. In the afternoon, His Holiness will speak on Promoting non-violence and compassion against aggressiveness and violence – a meeting with two Italian scientists.
 
The students from the universities of Udine and Trieste will have an exclusive opportunity to hear His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s talk on Holistic training of the mind: spiritual, humanistic, scientific and technological on 23 May morning.

The Udine Regional President Renzo Tondo and Provincial President Pietro Fontanini will call on His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 22 May afternoon at the hotel.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama was invited to Udine by Geshe Lobsang Pende of Cian Ciub Cio Ling and don Pierluigi Di Piazza of Associazione – centro di accoglienza “E. Balducci” ONLUS both based in Udine.
 
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will address the European Tibet Solidarity Rally in Vienna on 26 May 2012. The main message of the solidarity rally is Tibet needs you. Now. It calls on Europe and the world to act on the present situation in Tibet. For more information see http://www.europefortibet.com
