DHARAMSHALA: His Holiness the Dalai Lama left Dharamshala early in the morning today for a month long visit to Leh, Ladakh, J&K from 25 July – 22 August 2016.
The teaching, organised by Thiksey Monastery and Ladakh Buddhist Association, will begin on 12 August.
On 12 August, His Holiness will give a teaching on Atisha’s Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment (jangchup lamdron) and Nagarjuna’s Commentary on Bodhicitta (jangchup semdrel) at Thiksey Monastery. On 13 August morning, His Holiness will confer a long life empowerment (tsewang) and be offered a long life prayer at Thiksey Monastery.
On 19 -20 August, His Holiness will give a teaching on Shantideva’s A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life (chodjug) at Shewatsel Teaching Ground. On 21 August, His Holiness will confer the Avalokiteshhvera Initiation (wang) at Shewatsel Teaching Ground.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will return to Dharamshala on 22 August, 2016.
