
DHARAMSHALA: His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamshala today to a warm welcome by Tibetans and devotees following a five-day visit to New Delhi and Dehradun from 6 – 10 April.
On 6 April, His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited the Vana Retreat Center in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
During his stay at New Delhi, His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited the American Embassy school, Springdales school and IIT Delhi to speak on ‘Compassion and Global Responsibility’, ‘Peace and Values in Schooling’ and ‘Ethics and Happiness.’ His Holiness also met various educational professionals and scientists at the Hotel Sheraton, New Delhi, to discuss implementation of basic human values in school academic system and to finalise the draft curriculum for secular education.
On his last day at Delhi, His Holiness visited the ‘Thank You Dalai Lama’ photo exhibition at the All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS). The photographs are the work of Mr Vijay Kranti, photographer, journalist and a friend of Tibetans for more than 40 years.
