MYSORE: A three-day community workshop on UmayLam (MWA) organised by the Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) from 29 – 31 January concluded today at Mysore. The aim of the workshop was to boost awareness on the Middle Way Approach among Tibetan college-going students.
This was the final round of workshops for Tibetan college students which was preceded by similar rounds of workshops held in Delhi, Bangalore, Baroda and Chennai. A total number of sixteen college students studying in Mysore attended the workshop.
The Director of Tibet Policy Institute (TPI) Mr Thubten Samphel was the guest speaker at the workshop. He delivered a speech on the evolution of the Middle Way Approach (MWA) followed by an interactive session with the students.
The workshop was conducted by Ms Kalden Tsomo, Mr Tenzin Jamchhen and facilitated by Ms Tenzin Tashi of DIIR.
