DHARAMSHALA: Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay today condoled the demise of President Pranab Mukherjee’s wife Suvra Mukherjee who passed away on 18 August after a prolonged illness.

“It is with profound sadness that I learned of your wife Suvra Mukherjee’s demise on 18 August,” Sikyong said in his condolence letter.

“She was an excellent singer, painter and writer and yet her most notable character was reflected in you and your unwavering determination to work for the public. We respect her for being the source of your strength and support.”

“I, on behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration and the entire Tibetan people, offer our heartfelt condolences and solidarity with you and your family in this sorrowful time,” Sikyong said.
