DHARAMSHALA: The Department of Education, CTA organised a daylong Orientation on Summer Science Teaching Program 2015 at Nyatri Hall, Gangchen Kyishong on 26 June 2015. The program was attended by fifteen ongoing college students of Science Stream .

Honorable Kalon of the Department of Education, Mr. Ngodup Tsering addressed the gathering with his inaugural key note speech on the overall goal of the education department with special emphasis on importance of teaching profession and its impact on the Tibetan community. The other four resource persons namely Education Secretary Mr. Topgyal Tsering, Chief Counselor Mrs. Dolkar Wangmo, SSTS Director, Mr. Karma Chundak and Science Teacher of TCV Suja, Mr. Nyima Tsering spoke on the various topics pertaining to overall view of CTA, Class Room Management ,Salient features of Basic Education Policy, Challenges as a New Science Teacher & Experience Sharing respectively as targeted for a preparatory phase of the participants to experience teaching of Science in various Tibetan Schools as part of Summer Science Teaching Program 2015 in the coming month.

The program is funded by SOIR-IM, Sweden.The program successfully concluded with a collection of feedback from the participants for necessary follow up.
