Bangalore: The sixth Tibetan College Students Conference was held at the Tibetan youth hostel, Bangalore on 26 December.
The conference was inaugurated by chief guest Mr Suresh Kumar, minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs,

Karnataka state in the presence of guest of honour Kalon Dicki Chhoyang, Department of Information and International Relations of the Central Tibetan Administration, Mr Tashi Phuntsok, chief representative of south zone and Mrs Asha Reddy, a human rights activist.
Speaking on the occasion, Kalon Dicki Chhoyang talked about the role of youth in the Tibetan movement as well as on the governance of the Central Tibetan Administration and its outreach program to civil society.
Mr Suresh Kumar, the chief guest also spoke about the importance of youth in the development of a nation.
He said, the youths are the building blocks of a nation and urged the youths to continue struggling for Tibet.
The sixth Tibetan College students conference also honoured Mrs Asha Reddy with the inaugural Pawo Thupten Ngodup award for her selfless efforts and valuable contribution towards the Tibetan movement.
The conference was dedicated in solidarity to those Tibetans who passed away in the recent self immolation protests in Tibet and was attended by 68 students from 14 different places in India and Nepal and will run from 26 -29 December.
