DHARAMSHALA: His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamsala this morning after concluding a very successful visit to the Czech Republic.

Kalon Tripa Dr Lobsang Sangay received His Holiness at the Kangra Airport.Hundreds of Tibetans and well-wishers, carrying greeting scarves, bouquets and incense, lined on the road side to welcome His Holiness. In Czech Republic,His Holiness met former president Vaclav Havel and foreign minister Karel Schwarzenberg. He also joined fellow Nobel laureate Dr Shirin Ebadi, former French minister Bernard Kouchner, Chinese scholar Dr Jainli Yang and Stephane Hessel, co-drafter of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the conference on Human rights and democracy in Asia.His Holiness will give a three-day teaching on Tsongkhapa’s Destiny Fulfilled (tokjo dunlekma) and Geshe Langri Thangpa’s Eight Verses of Training the Mind (lojong tsik gyema) and will also confer a Chakrasamvara (demchok) Initiation at the request of a group of Russian Buddhists at the main temple from 19 to 21 December.
